Welcome to our MoGrown Highlight Series! We are excited to celebrate authentic Missourians who embody the culture and values that are unique to the Show-Me-State - traits such as determination, humor, independence, and deep resilience.

After meeting the crew from Just One Outdoors at a local Springfield expo, we knew they would be the perfect feature for this series because of their love for the outdoors, passion for storytelling (on their podcast), and the humor they convey on their social media platforms!
Just One Outdoors embodies the traits of the authentic Missourian and we are deeply honored to welcome them to our MoGrown blog!
Please enjoy this interview with their founder, Austin Reinold.

Q 1. Can you tell us about the founding story of Just One Outdoors? What inspired you to start it? How has being a Missourian been a part of shaping this process?
Just One Outdoors was founded in 2021 by Austin Reinold and Cameron Hole. What began as a shared passion for hunting quickly turned into a desire to document and share our experiences with others.
Inspired by the content we saw on YouTube, we initially set out to create videos of our own. However, we soon realized the amount of time and effort video production required and shifted our focus to podcasting—a medium that allowed us to connect more authentically and consistently with our audience.
Since then, Just One Outdoors has grown into a multifaceted platform, with an active presence on social media, YouTube, and through our podcast.
The name 'Just One' holds a dual meaning for us. On one hand, it captures our longing in the beginning to see just one deer. On a deeper level, it reflects our faith, serving as a reminder that there is ‘Just One’ way to heaven—through Jesus Christ.

Q 2. When did you start Just One Outdoors? How long has your business been going? How has your team grown or changed since the beginning?
Just One Outdoors was established in 2021 and has been steadily growing ever since. In 2022, we began expanding our team, bringing on individuals who have played a key role in helping us reach new milestones and stay aligned with our mission.
Like any growing organization, we’ve experienced some changes along the way.
Today, Austin Reinold is the sole owner of Just One, and they are proud to have a dedicated team of four. Notably, 75% of our team has been with us since 2022, a testament to the strong commitment and shared vision within our group.
We're passionate about what we do and have ambitious plans for the future as we continue to build our brand and impact.

Q 3. How has the vision for Just One Outdoors evolved over time? What were some key milestones that you can share with us?
From the beginning, Just One Outdoors was driven by a simple vision: to create YouTube videos that shared our hunting experiences with friends and family. Early on, we recognized the opportunity to connect with a broader audience through podcasting.
That shift led to the launch of our weekly podcast, which has since surpassed 150 episodes.
As we've grown, so has our mission. While we remain dedicated to producing quality content, our deeper purpose is to use the outdoors as a platform to share the love of Christ.
Whether it’s through a story on the podcast, a moment captured on video, or a message shared on social media, we aim to point others to the Creator through His creation.
With a strong and committed team in place, our vision continues to expand. We're focused on growing our YouTube channel while continuing to deliver meaningful, faith-driven content across all platforms.
Key milestones we’ve celebrated include releasing over 150 podcast episodes, successfully completing our first western hunt, and reaching millions through social media with videos that resonate with both outdoor and faith-based audiences.
These achievements remind us of how far we’ve come—and how much more we’re called to do.

Q 4. Every entrepreneur faces challenges when starting a new business. What hurdles did you face while starting and how have you been able to overcome them?
In many ways, we started without a clear roadmap. We didn’t have formal education in the fields we’re now operating in, we lacked the equipment we use today, and our level of commitment was very different.
What began as a simple hobby has grown into something much greater, entirely by the grace of God.
We learned through experience, leaned heavily on resources like YouTube, sought advice from those who had gone before us, and gradually invested in better gear.
Most importantly, we shifted our mindset and committed to the journey.
At the end of the day, we just took the first step. You don’t need a degree or top-of-the-line equipment to begin, though those things are helpful.
What truly matters is having the commitment and determination to learn as you go. The most important part is simply to start.

Q 5. MoGrown uses descriptive words such as tough, resilient, and determined to describe the Missourian. How have these attributes been integral to your successes?
Toughness, resilience, and determination are woven into everything we do. Whether it's navigating the challenges of a backcountry hunt or pushing through difficult seasons, those qualities are essential.
Success demands more than skill, it requires grit, perseverance, and a willingness to keep going when most would stop.
There have certainly been moments where quitting felt easier. But there’s something within myself and within our team that refuses to give in.
It's that drive, that deeply rooted determination, often shaped by our Missouri roots, that keeps us moving forward. If you want to make it you need a little bit of that rugged, relentless spirit in you.

Q 6. Would you be able to describe your goods and services? Can you share some unique features or services that sets you apart from your competitors?
In simple terms, we are content creators. We have a youtube, podcast and social media. Our main goal is to show Christ through the outdoors.
A lot of people have this misconception that christians are strict, boring, and dull. We like to show that you can have fun being a Christ follower.
Our social media is full of husband and wife hunting humor that is relatable to both men and women. Our podcast offers a view of nature as God’s creation which can be a very different view than the world’s.
Our youtube takes you on the hunt with us. We like to get kids involved in hunting, so our videos are clean, family friendly and God honoring.

Q 7. Missourians pride themselves on their integrity and excellence, how do you ensure the quality and innovation of your services and goods?
We’re committed to constant growth, both personally and creatively. Our goal is to make our content the best it can possibly be, and that only happens through ongoing learning and intentional improvement.
As a team, we’re always sharing ideas, challenging one another, and refining our craft so that each piece of content reflects the heart behind what we do.
But beyond the strategy and the work, we pray over Just One consistently. We seek God’s direction for both our personal lives and for this platform.
Our desire is to walk in His will, not just create content for the sake of it. Every video, podcast episode, and story we share is ultimately about more than us, it’s about pointing people toward something greater.

Q 8. Can you share a success story or a moment which highlights the impact of Just One Outdoors?
I’ll start by saying this kind of story has happened more than once and it never gets old. One of our biggest passions is getting people into the outdoors, and when we see that actually happening, it’s a humbling reminder of why we do what we do.
A story that stands out is about a buddy of mine from high school. This past season, he posted that he had taken his first deer.
We invited him on the podcast to hear the full story, and during the conversation, I said something along the lines of, “I didn’t know you were even interested in hunting?”
His response stuck with me, he shared that it was largely because of our videos that he got interested and decided to give it a shot.
That moment hit home. It was a clear example of our vision for Just One becoming a reality and he’s just one of many.
It’s an honor and a blessing to play even a small role in helping someone take that first step into the outdoors. Moments like that remind us that what we’re doing matters, and we’re just getting started.

Q 9. What trends are you seeing in your industry? Missourians are known for their adaptability and resilience. How have these attributes helped your business adapt to these trends?
Audiences today are craving authenticity more than ever and that’s something we take to heart.
Being from Missouri, authenticity is part of who we are. We’re straightforward, honest, and we don’t sugarcoat things. That same mindset is reflected in our content.
Not every hunt goes the way we plan, and yes, we make mistakes along the way. But we don’t hide that. We believe there’s value in showing the real story, both the victories and the setbacks.
What matters most is how we respond. We don’t let failure define us. We get up, learn from it, and keep moving forward.
That resilience and honesty resonate with people because it’s real and that’s what we aim to deliver every time we share a piece of our journey.

Q 10. What innovations or projects are you working on that you are excited about?
We’re in the exciting process of diving deeper into YouTube! Our goal is to consistently release new videos that inspire others to get outside and experience the adventure and beauty of the outdoors.
We’ve got some incredible content lined up this year including a turkey season video, highlights from Total Archery Challenge, an Idaho black bear hunt, and an Alaskan moose hunt.
On top of that, we’re also revamping our podcast. After 165 episodes, we’ve taken time to reflect, refocus, and refine our approach so it better aligns with our vision and mission.
We’re excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to share the next chapter with you this summer!

Q 11. What advice would you give to aspiring Missourian entrepreneurs that are trying to start a new business?
Jump in, don’t wait. Life is too short to let fear hold you back from chasing your dreams. You won’t have all the answers at the start, and that’s okay.
You’ll learn as you go, make mistakes, and grow through every step of the journey.
The key is to start. Embrace the process, enjoy the ups and downs, and trust that every experience is shaping you for what’s ahead.
It’s not about having it all figured out, it’s about having the courage to begin and the resilience to keep going.
